Adding a new account to Outlook 2000

If you need to add a new account, click on the Add button, and select Mail.

Your Name: Here, you simply type in your name as you would like it displayed. Once you have done that, click Next

Internet E-mail Address: In this window, you will want to type in your email address. After doing this, click Next.

E-mail Server Names: Next, you need to add the mail servers. First, make sure POP3 is selected for the type of server. Next add the Incoming and Outgoing mail servers as they appear below. Click the Next button to proceed.

Internet Mail Logon: In this window, you need to type in your username into the Account name field, and also type in your password into the Password field.

Connection Type: Here, you will want to select the method you use to connect to the Internet. If you are using a dial-up modem, then select "Connect using my phone line". If you connect thru a LAN or DSL service, then select "Connect using my local area network (LAN)".

Final Screen: This will be the window that appears when you have successfully set up your new Internet Account. Click on Finish, and you will return to the Internet Account Properties Window. (Follow link to complete setup.)
